Explore Solutions

With applied science we transform “leftovers” to high-value functional materials for nutrition, agriculture, coatings and medical applications.

Every year, 30–50% of global agricultural and aquaculture output is wasted because it is not directly edible. Thousands of tons of fish skins, scales, shrimp heads, shells are discarded or left to decay. At NMP, we extract value from these residual streams using controlled processing, enzymatic hydrolysis.
Our work today focuses on ossein, collagen peptide, chitosan and derivatives. Application areas are:

  • Human and animal nutrition

  • Soil health and plant growth

  • Water treatment and purification

  • Wound care and biomedical uses

  • Drug delivery systems

  • Surface and protective coatings

  • Post-harvest fruit and vegetable coatings

  • Binders and Adhesives

Post-harvest fruit and vegetable coatings

We provide natural food coatings that slow moisture loss, retain aroma and reduce spoilage. This helps extend shelf life.

Collagen Peptide

We offer hydrolysed fish and bovine collagen peptides. Hydrolysed fish collagen peptide is manufactured using the scales of aquaculture fish varieties – Labeo Rohita (commonly called as Rohu) and Labeo Catla (commonly called as Catla).

Chitosan and shrimp derivatives

Biopolymers (chitosan) derived from shrimp shells are cationic in nature. Chitosan can be used in water treatment, agriculture, coatings, wound care and controlled-release systems.
